Staffing

Staff at Camp Kirby

Kirby serves Cub Scouts through each level of program and requires a dynamic and dedicated staff to deliver the promise of quality activities. Kirby hires staff members on an annual basis to serve during the camp season which includes training, a camp setup period, the normal five-session program schedule, and a camp shutdown period. Availability is strongly considered during hiring and staff members are expected to be present during most, if not all, of Kirby’s program time.

CIT (Counselor-in-Training) Program - CIT Applications are no longer being accepted for 2012

CITs form the backbone of future camp staffs. and during a season at Kirby a CIT learns skills pertinent to all of Kirby’s program areas and staff-facilitied operations.  CITs at Kirby may receive a free week stay at Ockanickon Scout Reservation, Bucks County Council’s premiere Boy Scout resident camp, if they complete the season at Camp Kirby.  The CIT program is currently free and like all staff members, CITs receive quality meals and superior housing facilities compared to most camps, including a staff lounge.

Scouts interested in this exciting program must apply and are encouraged to contact the Camp Director (Russ Kantner) at cubcampkirby@aol.com to arrange a meeting.  Please apply here and be sure to mark Camp Kirby as your camp of choice.
