The cornerstone of the Cub Camp Scout Resident Camp Experience is Camp Kirby. As part of this program, Cub Scouts and Webelos experience a two through four night program packed with activities most Packs can’t match, including archery, BB shooting, slingshots, outdoor skills, ecology, handicrafts, swimming and other activities that take place in the outdoors.
Three-night sessions are for all Cub Scouts including Tigers, Wolves, Bears, and Webelos 1. Boys going into Webelos II are encouraged to attend an extended session, which has more advanced activities, including visits to Ockanickon Scout Reservation, an off-site hike to Ringing Rocks Park, and a number of Webelos Activity Badges. Two-night sessions are available for those with limited time. All youth and adults attending camp must bring a current Annual Health and Medical Record. A doctor’s signature is required for anyone staying more than three nights.
Visit the registration page for more information on 2010 sessions. The Leader Guide is a comprehensive outline of the program and policies of Camp Kirby PDF version or DOC version, it is not yet available for 2010.
